Alternative Initialisms or Acronyms for a gender/sexual identity umbrella movement have been suggested as a solution to the ongoing fragmentation of the modern LGBTQI+ movement into assimilationist and radical subsets, and the increasing visibility of paraphiles and MAPs.
- QTIMAPZ+ consists of: Queer, Trans, Invalid(ated), Minor Attracted People, A-spec, Paraphiles, Zoophiles + Others.
- The inclusion of the term "Queer" with the specifier "Invalid(ated)" is intended to place emphasis on the historical and theoretical meaning of Queerness. The acronym eliminates lesbians, gays and bisexuals, as assimilated groups, but does not exclude them on the basis of Queerness or Invalidity - for example in countries which criminalize expressions of homosexuality.
