Help:Joining the Yesmap Fedi

Yesmap.net will soon be hosting a Mastodon instance as an "Instance of Last Resort" for the fractured MAP Fediverse. The social function of this instance is very limited.

Please carefully read the instance rules before posting.

Please note, this instance is aiming to do something no previous MAP Fediverse instance has managed to do, without censoring opinions its owner deems unpalatable. That is, to become a permanent place to merge your follow lists, and save your best material (i.e. cerebral or otherwise valuable content). Because this permanency relies upon the good faith of our domain registrar, and the good faith of our users, this does NOT include:

• Photographic or drawn content of minors. In any form, unless incidental to the content. For example, "clean" images presented as "eye candy".
• Any erotic anime content, emulated, AI content, etc.
• Advocating illegal acts, or violent retribution against hostile individuals.
• Threatening individuals or sharing their private personal information. Malicious conduct.
• Sexual fantasies of any kind. Gooning type content. Ironic content. Anything ambiguous only the recipient would understand, especially if it could be read the wrong way.
• Ethnonationalist statements, casual racism.

The purpose of the instance is to survive, and allow other instances to prosper by underpinning the basic elements of a community - the online persona, its meaningful contributions and its connections. Only a very politically-minded type of person will be able or willing to maintain their main account on this type of server.
