Child-Safe was a UK (Bristol-Avon-Somerset) based charity, founded by Avon and Somerset Police.

"In line with the Government agenda in relation to Every Child Matters (www.everychildmatters.gov.uk) Child-Safe incorporates a wide range of universal safeguards within its products in order to prevent unsuitable people working with children. There is a strong emphasis on enabling youngsters to stay safe and helping organisations produce effective vetting and barring systems.
Child-Safe has particular focus on targeting those vulnerable children or young people within society – those coming from homes where domestic violence, abuse or neglect is common place. Supporting schools through its work with the DfES, (Department for Education and Skills – www.teachernet.gov.uk), Educational Visit Co-ordinators and Outdoor Education Advisers – www.evc-childsafe.co.uk), supporting parenting and enabling children to have greater opportunities in a safe and healthy environment." Whilst the charity hosted local fund-raisers and events, they appeared to have links with many child abuse figureheads from around the world.

Trivia

The charity still flaunted an endorsement from doubly "disgraced" Chief Constable Terry Grange on its front page in 2008.

As of 2021, the retired .org website now appears to point to a commercial operation dealing in the retail of consumer goods aimed at the families-with-children market.
