This is a widely distributed attempt to cure pedophilia. The traditional therapy combines showing the patient pictures which are sexually attractive for his "sexual deviance" (pictures of nude children, pornography) with electroshocks to create an aversion against this type of sexual stimulation.
The low efficiency of this therapy is well-known and accepted. But this is not the only reason for criticism.
