Frequency of Used Sexual Techniques

The intensity of the sexual techniques used in man/boy relations is much lower than usually assumed. The techniques which are typical for sex-play between age-mates are also typical for the pedosexual relations with children of that age.

The most popular techniques are fondling and masturbation, followed by oral sex. Anal sex is more seldom, and older boys are involved.

Remark that these data strongly depend on the culture. In different historical or ethnographical context we can find much different frequencies. Brongersma remarks that in societies with widely distributed pedosexual behavior anal sex is much more distributed.

It must again be stressed that such statistics based on prison samples are always biased and skewed toward the most advanced as well as the most offensive sexual contacts:

[1981,p.55-57] In the Sandfort Study of 25 11-16-year-old boys having steady relationships with a man, the sexual practices were as follows: (Brongersma,p.371f.)

Kerscher 1978,p.151

[1978,p.151] Even in contacts which have resulted in criminal prosecution, where one would expect a higher incidence, "advanced" techniques are still relatively rare. In statistics from the German Federal Republic, vaginal and anal intercourse occured in only 4 % of all "indecent assaults" on children. (Brongersma,p.381)

Gerbener 1966,p.32

[1966,p.32] summarising 169 criminal trials, reported that in only 3.6 % did the boy suck the man's penis, in 0.6 % was anal intercourse attemted on the boy and in 3 % performed.

Wegner 1963,p.23,53

[1963,p.23,53] reported that in 71 criminal cases involving boys, there was only one instance of anal intercourse.
