Comments on M. G. Bartoi and B. N. Kinder's (see record 1998-02245-002) study of the effects of child and adult sexual abuse on the current sexual functioning of female college students. McCarthy adds further suggestions for future research, including a fine grain analysis of the cognitions and emotional processes at the time of the traumatic incident and how the incident was handled.
