Comparison Skiing - Making Sex

There are a lot of other sport which may be used for this comparison. The main idea is that to do it is usually nice, but not necessary for life. And, there is a possibility of harm and injury, by accident.

Nonetheless, we allow it and even teach our children to do this. Sometimes we even force them to learn it. It shows, that arguments of the following type are doubtful:

Even if there is only a small possibility to harm the child, it must be forbidden.
It is not necessary for the child.
The child cannot foresee all consequences.

But, on the other hand, it shows the necessity to think about the security of the child. A safe ski equipment may be compared with safe sex (condoms). The adult also has to give the child necessary information for security.

I think, a real statistical comparison of the probability of harm and injury (inclusive their severity) for skiing and sex will show a higher probability of such harm for skiing. And a comparison of the fun related with skiing and making sex will show greater fun for making sex.

The distinction are feelings of guilt, disgust and shame, often related with sex, which are caused by the sex-repressive upbringing.
