The Concept of the PRD
The vision of the PRD is to be:
A collection of factual and scientific information and fair,
argumentative discussion of any problem connected with
pedosexual relations.
Collecting background information
We collect as much as possible background information. Scientific
literature is the main interest. But we are also interested in other
types of information, especially descriptions of experiences.
Many Links
There are texts which contain a lot of links. There is no
necessity to read them all - the link gives you the possibility to
check some background information, usually a bibliographical reference
or a USENET posting, but sometimes more - like other quotes from the
same source.
Too scientific?
You should not read everything. There are some parts where
scientific literature is referred where you need some scientific
background to follow them. But there are a lot of other parts too.
Advantages of Web
- In usual media, everyone tries to repeat his opinion very
often. In a WWW directory this is not necessary, even dangerous. If I
have 50 files and in all of these files I start with my standard
argumentation, nobody will read the end of 49 of my files.
- In WWW, every citation may be combined with a link. Everyone
can (and many will) control the context by a simple click. That's why
an incorrect or "out-of-context" citation is dangerous only for the
reputation of the person who makes it.
- Size does not mean significance. You can make a very long and
detailed argumentation for some not very significant but complicate
problem and a short argumentation for a significant . They will be
weighted by the place, the number and the text of the links to them.
- It is not necessary to put your argumentation in some
artificial linear order.
- You don't have to care about a single "standard reader", his
knowledge, his interrest and his opinions. Different files and links
to them may be used by persons with very different previous knowledge,
interest and opinions.
