Welcome to Newgon.net, the home of NewgonWiki and various other resources.

Our site discusses and promotes in a structured format, alternative perspectives on physical attractions and relationships between those defined as minors and adults. We also address the related positions of minor attracted persons (MAPs) and contemporary youth. Our aim is to produce information sources that are easy to use in front-line activism, and to organize that activism where possible (as a non-membership organization).

We are inclusive, drawing upon a diverse community of people. Some of us have experienced age-discrepant relationships at different points in our lives. Some of us have experienced cross-generational physical attractions and accompanying social hostility. Some of us have experience of legal systems, professions and academia, pertaining to the above. We are united by the fact that we now want to share our knowledge and pool it collaboratively, hoping to influence others to see the world in a different way.

This website is not a peer support board for MAPs, but we welcome their input at all levels. We also see youth rights and participation as an indispensable, even foundational asset of political movement. Our site discusses concepts such as inequality as applied to physical relationships, Youth Rights as a topic of broader political importance, Child Sexual Abuse as a self-containing professional belief system and pedophilia as an invented illness and scapegoat. We use real life examples and professional literature to support our positions, and attempt to distribute this suppressed information as far and wide as possible.

Public positions

We take a number of public positions for the sake of clarity. Project contributors and affiliates are not bound to these positions:

Remove all paraphilias/chronophilias from the Diagnostic Manual

Our first position is that pedophilia should not be included as a category within the DSM. Research tells us that pedophilia is a minority orientation in around 5% of men. Diagnostic categories should not mention particular "paraphilias", and should instead focus on distress caused by the social climate.

A non-prosecution, elective-emancipation option for young people ages 12 and up

We would like to see a passport system introduced, where young people age 12 and up, can sign to emancipate themselves in a variety of areas. With respect to minor attracted people and adult attracted minors, this will include legal consent to physical/sexual relations, and also other areas such as:

  • Education
  • Employment
  • Finance
  • Driving a motor vehicle
  • Substance use
  • Voting (if all of the above are signed off on)

This is not too dissimilar to the system employed in the Netherlands up until the early 21st Century - at least with respect to sexual relations. However, allowing young people to self emancipate gives them the power to choose between minority and responsibility.
