[] It's interesting to note that most of the books railing against any kind of sexual expression before 18 that were published in the mid and late 80's offered as their main "scientific" basis the various stories of the McMartin and other Day Care abuse scandals. Now, only a decade or less later, we're coming to learn that ALL of these cases were based on lies, and that ALL of the children were coerced, and often FORCED by overbearing therapists and police into making up stories of supposed abuse. Most of these well publicised cases are under review, and it is becoming increasingly embarrasing, when faced with the evidence, that they ever went to court. Yet the interviews with the children, and false evidence is still throw out as PROOF of the sinister nature of such relationships.

Those cases are particularly interesting since, at least in the few books on the subject I've read, pedophiles do not, normally, by nature, have any sexual attraction to day care age children. But, then again, it's easier to get the public fired up over a toddler, than a 12 year old.

Again, most of the day care cases are now either proven false or highly suspect and under investigation. If this is the case, then those children had memories of abuse cemented in their minds by the police and interrogators. They were encouraged to make up stories that, by themselves, were not harmful, but afterwards, were treated as "damaged goods," and that impression was reinforced by ongoing therapy for events that did not occur, and attitudes ranging from sympathy to horror from everyone they met. If even ONE case is not true, then the many children involved WERE raped, my friend. But not by the day care worker. By the justice system, and the do good therapists so intent on "getting the kid to ADMIT abuse" that they failed to ask if there WAS any abuse.

[] Until hard evidence is obtained and corroborated, the public should not be frightened into believing that babies are being bred and eaten, that 50,000 missing children are being murdered in human sacrifices, or that satanists are taking over America's day care centers or institutions. No one can prove with absolute certainty that such activity has NOT occurred. The burden of proof, however, as it would be in a criminal prosecution, is on those who claim that it has occurred. The explanation that the satanists are too organized and law enforcement is too incompetent only goes so far in explaining the lack of evidence. For at least eight years American law enforcement has been aggressively investigating the allegations of victims of ritual abuse. There is little or no evidence for the portion of their allegations that deals with large-scale baby breeding, human sacrifice, and organized satanic conspiracies. Now it is up to mental health professionals, not law enforcement, to explain why victims are alleging things that don't seem to have happened.
